Hailing from Canos, Selrina watched her homeland be consumed by the ceaseless hunger of Dragonblight. Vowing to never idly let evil take rest again, she has worked tirelessly for the last year and a half to rebuild her homeland, and the damage done to the divine fabric of Tharador. It was her own wisdom that first caught wind of the evil festering in Sudd Tohst. With the previous expeditions not returning, she has taken upon herself to join the latest one.

Raised in the City of Knowledge, Selrina hailed from a long line of mages, her parents being professors at the University of Canos, and one of her ancestors the Imperial Court Mage during the Second Era. Their loyalty, however, was always tied to the nation of Draksborne, whether that be in the empire’s golden age, or the dwindling kingdom it became in the Third Era. When Dragonblight wreaked havoc across the land a year and a half ago, Selrina lost her family, her home and her faith. The city she grew up in turned to a battleground against the eldritch creatures claimed by the disease, barely escaping death’s clutches herself. When the Church of the Tharameni arrived in Canos, they were able to stave off the blight’s advance for a time, allowing those trapped within to evacuate. Selrina, still distraught over the loss of her family, lived in a hastily erected refugee camp for months after, until the destruction of Hendrak and the shattering of Namneri’s Chalice.

When she learned of these events, Selrina thought of her family, their souls now wandering the Spirit Plains listlessly. She sought out those who saved her from the brink, the Church of the Tharameni, joining their cause in uncovering the shards of the Chalice that had scattered across the continent. On her own journey into Sudd Tohst in search of the artifacts, she witnessed the disappearance of several expeditionary groups near Hinatal. When investigating, their corpses were never found, though a foul sense of necrotic magic hung in the air. Reporting the incident, the Church promised to send more expeditions to investigate, though none returned.

Now, a year later and with Namneri’s Chalice remade, the Church sets its sights on this tainted swathe of desert. Selrina is one of many in the largest expedition that has been sent to investigate the wastes, with a direct link through Sending Stones to communicate with the Church’s head clergy, should anything go awry. She worries that in this quest she will meet her end, though prays her soul is not claimed by Myrothlir, but instead freely flows to Namneri’s Chalice, where she might be reunited with her family.
