A Lionfolk bound to the service of Glanion, who found a place in the halls of Syelden after his death in defending the city of Hinatal from the forces of Mindoriel several years prior. Now he is given another chance to prove his valour against the invaders, hoping that in doing so he may earn a place among the Selvaneri, ascending to more than a mere warrior.

The vast plains of Zandorion were the home to Kigari’s tribe, a nomadic folk who followed the word of the Sun to ever-good fortune. Though the nights of Zandorion are full of horrors, beyond what might be found even in the wildest places of Tharador. It only takes one poor resting place to see a tribe’s end. They were set upon by plagued beasts in the night, and though many survived the initial encounter, the aftermath was more devastating. For weeks members of the tribe would slowly meet their ends, as boils and necrotic skin covered their bodies. Kigari was the sole one among them who seemed immune to the disease, wondering whether it was the fortune of the great sun, or a curse. In order to seek answers, he followed the sun behind the horizon, walking to it each and every night in hopes that he may find where it rests, and ask it himself.

His journey spanned hundreds of miles over land, until he arrived at the ends of the earth. The Dividing Sea. He walked southwards a hundred more miles along the coast, hoping to find a bridge to carry him off the earth and to the place of the resting sun. Yet instead he found civilization. A coastal city where his dreams and delusions were shattered by the grim reality dealt to him by the citizenry there. That the sun has no resting place, and it continues to course Minera. The mariners did tell Kigari that there’s legend of a place in the far land of Tharador where it is said to be the city of the Sun, where those who dwell within speak directly to Glanion himself. Hinatal.

Thus for the next year, Kigari afforded every method he could to reach the famed place, finally finding passage to the land of Sudd Tohst, and then to Hinatal. At its gates he fell to his knees and wept, though the guards within were hesitant of the lionfolk foreigner, he plead his story to their councilmen, who were so moved that they granted Kigari residence in the city, and a role within the clergy of Glanion as a paladin. When the city was besieged by the forces of Mindoriel, he gladly gave his life defending it, his soul awakening in Syelden thereafter.
