The leader of the Serocan Cult, his name long forgotten, as is his own identity. His memories and secrets were the price paid to lead Seroca’s worshippers to glory, and now the price seems trivial. What he has gained in the service of Seroca far outweighs any memories he may have of childhood, of love, of family and friendship. Such concepts themselves are foreign to the Hand. His goals are Seroca’s goals, and he will gladly pay with his life to fulfill them.

The Hand of Seroca was once a Sun Elf with a name, a lineage, and the sort of pride that comes naturally to those born under long summers and longer memories. That life is gone. When he took the mantle of leadership, it was not granted through devotion alone, but through payment. He gave up what most would cling to until death. His memories, his secrets, and the pieces of himself that tied him to personhood were offered to Seroca as tribute. At first, it was said to be a bargain made in desperation. Now it is a bargain he would make again without hesitation.

The loss did not leave him empty. It made him clean. Where another cult leader might preach with personal ambition behind their eyes, the Hand speaks with a calm certainty that unsettles even his own followers. He does not reminisce, does not boast, and does not threaten for pleasure. Concepts like love, loyalty, and kinship do not guide him because he no longer understands them in the way others do. He mimics the language of humanity when it is useful, like a learned prayer recited without faith. Those who meet his gaze often feel as though they are being measured, not judged, as if their fear is simply another tool he can pick up when he needs it.

His goals are Seroca’s goals, and his life is already spent. He leads the cult not as a man building a legacy, but as a hand guided by something unseen. In Hinatal and beyond, his work is not loud unless it has to be. He prefers rot over fire. A whispered rumour that turns neighbour against neighbour. A staged omen that sends a district into panic. A single disappearance that makes a whole street lock their doors and look inward. When violence comes, it is precise, and it is meant to leave survivors. A dead city cannot be manipulated, but a frightened one will do almost anything to feel safe.
